What this website does and does not collect

This policy explains what happens to information when you visit goldenturas.com. It is written to be checked: everything below describes how the site is actually built, and it is reviewed whenever the site changes.

The short version

• This site runs no analytics: no Google Analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, no visitor tracking of any kind.
• We do not sell or rent personal information. We never have.
• The contact form does not send anything to this website. It opens a message in your own email program, which you then send yourself.
• One cookie is set, by the security layer in front of the site. It is described below.

Information you choose to give us

The contact and appointment request forms

This is unusual, so it is worth being precise. When you fill in a form on this site and submit it, the information is not transmitted to this website or stored on its server. The page assembles your answers into a draft email and hands that draft to whatever email program your device uses. You then decide whether to send it.

The practical effect is that your message travels from your own email account to ours, the same way any email you write does. This website never holds a copy. Once the message reaches us it is handled as described under "Messages you send us" below.

Please do not include detailed medical information in a first message. Email is not a secure channel, and there is no need for that detail before an evaluation.

Messages you send us

Email sent to care@goldenturas.com is received in the practice's email account and kept there so we can answer you and keep a record of the correspondence. It is used for that and nothing else. It is never used for marketing, and it is never sold or shared.

If you would like a message deleted, ask us and we will delete it, unless a record has to be retained because you became a patient and it forms part of your clinical record.

Information collected automatically

Server logs

Like nearly every website, the hosting platform records ordinary technical information about requests: IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser's user-agent string, and similar. These logs exist for security and to keep the site running. They are not used to build a profile of you and they are not combined with any patient information.

Cookies

This site's own code sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.

One cookie is set by the security and delivery network the site sits behind, Cloudflare. It is named __cf_bm and its purpose is bot management: distinguishing real visitors from automated traffic. It is a short-lived security cookie, not an advertising or analytics cookie, and it does not track you across other websites.

Analytics

There are none. At the time of writing this site runs no analytics or measurement tool whatsoever. If that ever changes, this page will say what was added, what it collects and why, before it goes live.

The site links to YouTube and to the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Those are ordinary links. Your browser does not contact them unless you click.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We do not use medical information for marketing. California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act prohibits that, and we would not do it regardless.
• We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
• We do not attempt to identify individual visitors.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them through it. Integrative psychiatric care is available from age 5, but arrangements for a child's care are made by a parent or guardian, through intake, not through this website.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you from the website, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Email care@goldenturas.com and we will respond.

Requests about your medical record are handled differently and carry specific legal rights. Those are set out in the Notice of Privacy Practices.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and you can send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Since this site runs no tracking there is nothing here for those signals to switch off, but they are honored in the sense that nothing is tracked either way.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection and sits behind a security network. No website can promise perfect security, and email in particular is not a secure channel, which is why we ask you not to send detailed medical information by email.

Changes to this policy

If the site changes in a way that affects this policy, the policy is updated at the same time and the date at the top of the page changes with it.
